Simon Burrell plays trombone and tuba in the band and has foolishly not let the webmaster have his biography so we're free to make up stuff.
A bit of an enigma we know he's been playing various brass instruments for years, playing in a swing band at college and various jazz, swing and silver bands since. We know he once worked with the Police.
His wife Anne has been dancing with Chinewrde for some time but he sensibly tended to ignore f**k music for some years until the memorable Sidmouth when the battered Silver Tuba appeared: he was one of the musicians to blame for the 12 piece polka monster Mallemarokers which followed.
He crept into Steamchicken during the Wingin' sessions and then started gigging with us on trombone initially as a dep for Matt but then, in early 2006, as a band member in his own right.
His first love is silver band music and he is an active member of Cubbington Silver Band from where this photo of Steamchicken stage left is taken
