Started in folk in the 80s as a member of the Coventry
Mummers team, mostly as ladies, fools or doctors. Still mums
occasionally and and was seen losing his head on a recent Sword tour in
Belgium.
He had spells with various local barndance and ceilidh bands, notably
the industrial strength barn rock of 'Five
Minutes to Midnight' (with Matt, now Peeping Tom's drummer.)
He is/has been a regular North West/Border Morris musician, with
various teams but principally for Chinewrde Morris.
He was a founder member of Steamchicken with Bill and Ted;
at the time of and influenced by 'Jump' era Gas Mark Five, New Victory
Band, Barely Works and they gigged steadily through the late 90s.
Went on to Mallemarokers and from there to the six piece Steamchicken;
plays bass both from keyboard and via MIDI to Alesis QS7 from left hand
of accordion.
Midi bass to the fore on "Pick
a bale of Cotton"; I've got a synth with echo effects and I'm going
to play with them on "Drops of Brandy"
Likes swinging, horn based bands (King Pleasure, La Bottine,) early
Jazz, 50s Blues and Rock. Best gig recently Add 9 & Sciorr at
Warwick 2007.
Often dashing after ambulances in his other role as an injury lawyer at
